Here’s an article about how Great White has been surviving the ups and down of their career. The biggest UP is obviously scoring a smash hit with “Once Bitten, Twice Shy,” although it’s a cover and a majority of the royalties went to Ian Hunter. And the obvious DOWN is The Station House fire. But what about what lies in-between?
Between the height of their popularity on MTV and their tragic low point, a lot of people miss the fact that Great White made some pretty solid – but not quite ground breaking – rock music. I must have seen the band a dozen times in the 90s, so they became one of my favorite live acts. It’s a shame that they have had to have had a fall from grace, and Jack Russell seems to be carrying on despite health issues. Bret Michaels carries on a hectic schedule proclaiming that he’s not out of the woods yet, but poor Jack says nothing and does his best to deliver. Something seems very wrong with this picture, doesn’t it?
